My Adventure with Felix.
Friday:
I am so glad I got Felix. When I went to get baby Felix he said, “please take good care of me” in a gentle voice. I said ok and then Felix said, “Promise?” I said promise. Then when we were home Felix and I watched yu-gi-oh for three hours. Then we went to bed. I said good night to him.
When Felix and I woke up we went to play tennis.Felix kept
saying “oh ah”. Then we went home where we ate. Then we watched yu-gi-oh again. Then my friends were outside so we played with them. After playing outside we came back home and ate. At 11:00PM we were fast asleep.

On Sunday after eating we went to tennis and took pictures.
Then we played Wizard 101. Then we ate again. My friends were outside again so we played with them. At 2:30PM we went in. Then we went to Arsha’s birthday party on the beach and we came back home at 6:45PM.
When we started to sleep Felix said, “You rock Mike”. I said thank you and good night and good bye.

My Godfather is Chinese doctor. His name is Ling Zhi Sheng.
Happy Chinese New year Godfather!
Chinese new year 2009 falls on 26th of January, 2009. The Chinese New Year is celebrated as the symbol of spring's celebration. In fact in China the Chinese New Year is still called the Spring festival. It is celebrated after the fall harvest and before the spring planting season. The date of the Chinese
New Year is always changing and is dependant on the Chinese calendar. Emperor Huangdi in the year 2637 B.C.E invented the Chinese calendar.
At Chinese New Year celebrations people wear red clothes, decorate with poems on red paper, and give children "lucky money" in red envelopes. Red symbolizes fire, which according to legend can drive away bad luck. The fireworks that shower the festivities are rooted in a similar ancient custom. Long ago, people in China lit bamboo stalks,
believing that the crackling flames would frighten evil spirits.
Happy New Year!

Prince of Tennis
Anime DVD Review
Sport-based anime is a genre onto its own. Basketball has "Slam Dunk", Drift Racing has "Initial D", Ashita No Joe and Fighting Spirit are Boxing anime, there's even ice-skating anime (Ginban Kaleidoscope). And never mind the plethora of Soccer or Baseball anime. Grappler Baki,
Ayane's High Kick move into martial arts while titles such as Ranma 1/2 use Ninjitsu as a plot device to cross over from sports into fantasy realms. Fighting anime from Naruto to Dragon Ball Z use the fighting arts to further their plots and make for exciting spectacles.
However, tennis doesn't seem to get as much coverage. Until now that is — Prince of Tennis has become a smash hit (excuse the pun) among (mostly) women and with good reason. It's appealing because it has lots of characters with their own unique personalities, which different kinds of fans can like.
I got a movie called Wall-E from my sister Julia for Xmas.
My whole family watched this movie Christmas morning.
We all love it! Take care of our planet guys!
I'm playing tennis
.
I'm going to tennis camp every day! It's sooo Cool!!!!!
This Christmas season, my family and I participated in putting together a cultural presentation. I gave a speech to my class about how New Years Eve is celebrated in Russia.

russian Cultural Heritage Speech
Name: Michael Buyanin
Speech Date: December 15, 2008
Good morning boys and girls in rooms 15 and 16. Today
I would like to tell you a little bit about the
country all of my ancestors came from. It is the
country of Russia. My family is Russian and both my
big sister and my big brother were born in St.
Petersburg.
Russia spans across the continents Asia and Europe. It is close to China and Turkey. Russia is bigger than the United States, and it is the biggest country in the world.
In Russia, Santa Claus and the traditional Christmas holiday are different. Christmas as a religious holiday is celebrated on January 6th, because Russian Orthodox Church follows an obsolete calendar called The Julian Calendar . On the 31st of December is New Years Eve, which is a big family holiday in Russia. Russian families have a big, delicious dinner at night until one in the morning. Dinner usually includes a lot of meat, fish, pie, and champagne. They spend time with family and friends, and open many gifts. For presents, kids receive many toys, candy and other sweets. After one in the morning, everyone goes outside to the center of the town where there is a giant, decorated tree and music playing. People ice skate and dance around the tree, and throw snow balls at each other.
As for Santa Claus, whom we call Father Frost, he
brings kids gifts in the middle of the night on New
Year's Eve. But in Russia, Father Frost does not come
alone. He comes with his little granddaughter, who is
made of snow. This snow princess is very sweet and
lively. Kids recite many poems and dances, and put on
fun shows in honor of this Snow Princess. In Russia,
there is a legend of the Snow Princess. She is the
daughter of the Spring and the Snow. Her whole life,
the Snow Princess was afraid of the sun. When she grew
up, she fell in love with a young boy and stayed with
him until the sunrise. When the sun came out, she
melted away. For this reason, she will be a little
girl forever, and come with Father Frost every New
Years Eve to bring joy and presents to little kids.
My doll, the Snow Princess, is wearing a traditional
Russian dress. She is wearing a hat, boots, mittens
and a coat to keep her warm in the cold winter.
My family celebrates all traditional Russian and American holidays. New Years Eve is the favorite and most important holiday to Russian people. My favorite family tradition is spending time with my family on New Years Eve and opening presents.
I hope you have enjoyed learning a little bit about the country of Russia. Thank you very much for listening to my speech.
